Still fresh in my mind
The memory more vivid than most
I watched
Pain dripped from your eyes
The shame still haunts like a ghost.

You fell from the crowd
Down onto pavement out of the way
I watched
You stood in your tears
Surrounded by people with nothing to say.

You looked up and saw me
I watched as they took you away
